Agenda: New York City

All About Product and People

DSC_3437In the heart of Manhattan, Agenda New York provides an intimate two-day forum comprised of the top brands representing New York’s street culture, skate, snow, sneakers, and a bit of California flare. The show allows buyers to focus on the hottest brands the industry has to offer and where New York City’s core shops stock up on amazing products to make next year killer.

OvR checked out Agenda New York and here are some of the brands and products that caught our eye.

  • Electric Logo"Electric is a global, premium sport and lifestyle accessory brand rooted in Southern California’s rich action sports, music, art and customization culture. Electric designs and markets an extensive line of watches, sunglasses, snow goggles, snow helmets, bags, apparel and accessories throughout the globe. In 2011, Electric became part of the Kering group, a world leader in apparel and accessories."

Electric will be introducing for 2014/15 a new EG3 Goggle featuring Electric’s patented Press Seal System. This is Electric’s answer to the increasing demand for quick change lenses in goggles on the market. The Press Seal System acts a lot like a zip lock bag creating a airtight seal around the lens and frame. Definitely an amazing product OvR is looking forward to next year and we hope to get our hands on a pair to review.

  • PolerLogo"Poler Outdoor Stuff makes gear for people that are travelers, couch surfers, regular surfers, skateboarders, snowboarders, bicyclists, parents, kids, car campers and anyone else looking for something that looks good, is a good value and is all about having fun on road trips and in the outdoors. It’s stuff that is made for people that have adventures all over the world while wearing jeans, a t-shirt, and sneakers. It’s for people that wonder why everyone is trying to pretend they are going to do first ascents on alpine peaks instead of celebrating the fact that they are having adventures that are awesome in their own way."

An outerwear company based in Portland doing killer stuff in the snow world, showcased at Agenda that it’s all about the great out doors. Featuring cool items like The Napsack, the company’s own line of tents, and an awesome collaboration with Smith Goggles.

  • Coalatree Logo"To inspire a movement that will help people recognize the importance of living a sustainable life by becoming more self-reliant and therefore less dependent on unnatural foods and goods - one grow-bag, one organic t-shirt and one community at a time.

The majority of our products are made from organic or recycled materials. We're passionate about sourcing the finest sustainable materials and in so doing; we support organic farms throughout the world. Buying and supporting organic goods persuades more farmers to grow organic."

Here is a company focused on delivering a quality product with lowering their impact to the environment. Their new line of clothing features items utilizing recycled plastics, x-ray film, polyester, as well as organic cotton and leather.  The company also has one of OvR’s favorite mascots and logos, the koala in a headdress.

  • AkompliceLogo"Akomplice is a movement. We are characterized solely by the inherent in each individual moment. Our philosophy is simple; Evolution through Innovation.

Founded by two brothers who made their start in 2004 at the ages of 18 & 20 - 6200 feet high up in the Rocky Mountains. In a game where connections and who you know is almost everything, these kids from Colorado broke in, defied the odds and have achieved success."

Ride Snowboards knows how kick ass Akomplice is and therefore decided to create a 2014/15 collaboration with the brand. Keep your eye out for the Ride x Akomplice snowboard, boots, and binding. Also check out Akomplice’s fresh line of outerwear, tees, shoes, and accessories.

Neff makes some of the loudest and dopest snow gear rolling down the mountain resorts today. From killer gloves to insane jackets, Neff is the company to be apart of, if you are into good times and good vibes.

  • GlmrKlls_LogoGlamour Kills weaves together threads of culture. Their t-shirts, hoodies, bathing suits and denim combine a rock n' roll edge with a chic modernism. Their aesthetic is fashionable, but still underground. It's palatable, but still edgy. It's vibrant, but subtle. It's the future of youth lifestyle brands; it's Glamour Kills.

Glamour Kills rocked the event with it’s own arcade game offering up all the classics. The brand features killer designs, memorable sayings, and one bad ass logo.

  • House-of-Marley-Logo"The House of Marley is built on the principles of superior quality, earth-friendliness and a commitment to global charitable causes. We are driven to enhance lives through great product experiences as well as using proceeds from product sales to support efforts to make lives better around the world."

Marley is going wireless offering people the ability to pump out their tunes with Bluetooth headphones and speakers. These products look amazing wrapped in custom Marley cloth and trimmed with real wood. But it’s not just looks these headphones and speakers offer, the sound is incredible.
