With winter slowing it’s roll into the east coast this season, one mountain in Vermont has been making all the right moves to make sure it’s ready! This is exactly why OvR goes back to Killington, year after year to start our season off right. Why wait until the middle of the winter? At Killington, you’re guaranteed the best snow conditions and most runs on the East Coast from October thru April.

Not only does “The Beast of the East” have the most comprehensive and up-to-date snow making equipment, they have a fantastic team of experts getting the most out of it. To top it off, Killington boasts the best nightlife & après scene in New England! The Beast never disappoints.

With a name like “The Beast in the East”, you have a reputation to protect… Killington does just that by having “Winter Start When We Say So”

Weekend Trips

The Vermont weekend trip experience is deep rooted in OvR’s history, shuttling shredders from NYC and Jersey on a Friday afternoon and rockin’ the mountain through Sunday. We’re proud to say, our legendary weekend trips have grown from three a season, to almost every weekend, season long. You can catch us for a 3 day weekend in VT at Sugarbush, Stowe, and Jay PeakKillington.

Killi Winter KickOff

Our annual Killi Kickoff Weekend Trip (12/18-12/20) has become an institution. It marks the beginning of the Winter season, maintaining the energy, excitement & tradition of its roots! Here’s a throwback to Killi Kickoff’s of yesteryears… I think you’ll see what I mean.

Lodging at Mountain Green Condos

Conveniently located a short walk (even shorter shuttle bus ride) from Snowshed base, the condo units at Mountain Green are spacious, with a full kitchen, free WiFi, and access to a private balcony. Right in the middle of the complex is a full health spa facility with swimming pools, hot tubs, a sauna, steam room, and fitness center. In addition to soaking your weary bones after a full day of riding/skiing, you can take advantage of services offered, like massage and facial options.

Transportation couldn’t get more convenient; for a night out, free shuttles are available to/from most resort bars & restaurants with door to door service. The free shuttle, “The Bus” runs throughout the resort to/from Green Mountain Plaza, Downtown Rutland, Mendon & Killington.

Mountain Terrain

Killi 10/28 Sunny TurnsThe Beast of the East when 100% open has 140 trails, spanning over 750 acres and six mountains (yeah pretty Beast-like I’d say). But it doesn’t stop there; with 600 acres of snow-making in addition to an average natural snowfall of 250 inches, Killi’s snow coverage has continued to be the most consistent in the East.

No matter what skill level, you will love Killington’s diverse terrain. You’ve got your pick of groomers, bumps, steeps and trees. Five terrain parks including a 500 foot Superpipe and the only Burton Stash on the East coast. Killington’s reputation has made it a regular stop on The Dew Tour as well as the Grand Prix.

Nightlife

If you’re looking for a good time out, the Beast is the spot! You’ll be hard pressed to find a better night life anywhere in New England! When it’s time to shake down the infamous Wobbly Barn, join us for the group shuttle to the bar at 9pm for free entry, or call “The Wobbly Wagon” shuttle. You’ll find it easy to get there and back safely!
