POW EXPECTED FOR JAY PEAK THIS WEEKEND.

OUR WEEKEND TRIP IS GOING TO TO BE EPIC!!!

DONT MISS OUT ON JAY PEAK!!

Jay Peak is unlike any other Mountain on the east coast. Though it’s far north on the border of Canada it is worth the long trip on every level. We leave the city early to get a half day on Friday that would warm us up for the weekend powder turns. The Traffic is usually non existent and we try and make great time to arrive on the mountain before noon! After hitting the local supermarket for food, booze and snacks we got settled in at the Slopeside Condos fully equipped with a Kitchen and large living area. Most people are excited to have the afternoon to get familiar with the mountain so we issue tickets quickly so people could get ready and walk out of there rooms to shred

The Views at Jay Peak are breathtaking. In all directions it is literally jaw dropping. In February you would have to consider yourself lucky to have a bluebird day with clear visibility. The ‘Jay Cloud” has been known to linger around the summit and consistently dumps limiting the beautiful views but more snow is always better at JAY PEAK!!  Jay Peak has been known to have some of the best conditions in the EAST COAST. Last year they were #1 in total snow and it looks as though they will be on top again this year! COME SHRED JAY PEAK WITH US!!!

BEST VIEWS ON ALL SIDES!

The Tram at Jay peak is the JAM! When there is a tram at the resort you know you are doing some BIG mountain shredding. The tram runs every 15 minutes and takes 50 people 4000 feet to the top! Once at the summit you have to make sure to check out The Sky Haus which offers some really amazing organic food options and local beer. While having a beer and looking south into scenic Vermont it’s a great time to check out the mountain map and see where to go. One of the best zones is the Beaver Pond Glades, The glades in Valhalla, Canyonland and Vertigo are all places you can cruise through and find numerous untouched tree lines!

After getting settled into your respective condo’s the OvR Crew go door to door to make sure everyone is feeling good and have everything they need . The talk of FIRST TRAM is usually mentioned numerous times though bouncing from bar to bar or hitting the water park is most peoples first priority.  Either way it is a win, win situation and Jay Peak is the place to be!!

BIGJAY_4

If your into a hike out of bounds there is always BIG JAY. If it is open and there is enough snow ( The Forecast for this weekend is looking prime) Big Jay is one of the best out of bounds runs in the entire East Coast! Though its a high traverse and a solid hike when you reach the top you realize that its worth it when you have wide open lines of fresh POW! Just be sure to re-search this hike and ask some locals before heading out there. The only way back is to hitch hike. Though its a short ride away and Vermont is kind to hitch hikers its always safer than sorry to make sure you get back to the road.

The POW lines in Big Jay are well worth the hike!!!

After a full days riding the Pump House is the answer!

THE PUMP HOUSE HAS IT ALL!! LAZY RIVER, WATER SLIDES, SURF WAVE,  IN/OUT DOOR HOT TUBS AND FULL SERVICE BAR!! WHAT MORE COULD YOU ASK FOR!

SURFWAVE

WANT TO SURF AND RIDE A MOUNTAIN IN THE SAME DAY? ONLY AT JAY PEAK!!

When its time to relax it’s time for the Pump House! The Jay Peak Pump House indoor waterpark is a place for well-earned leisure. A place to experience the mountain when the mountain may have beaten you momentarily. A place where you can surf, climb, float the Big River like a boss or sit out a rough day. A place where the movement of the water does more than keep you entertained. It actually moves you. This place has everything you could want in a water park, If you have not been before, prepare yourself. THIS PLACE IS RAD!

JAY PEAK HAS SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE!!!

WHEN IT SNOWS IT SNOWS HEAVY!!!

When Jay Peak gets hit, it usually comes down hard. When you look at Jay Peak snow fall it is always 3-8 inches or more. Cold fronts tend to hang around the summit and sit there for long periods of time. The Canadian air mixed with its close proximity to numerous lakes and rivers form what is known by locals as the “Jay Cloud” and it loves to park itself right at the summit for long periods of time! Check for yourself, It looks like its gonna get nailed this week into the weekend.

TREE RUNS, NATURAL FEATURES AND FRESH SNOW!!!

MAKES JAY PEAK A NO BRAINER!!!

SEND IT THIS WEEKEND FEB 12-14th!!
