Carvebunnies: Building Community for Women Riders on the Mountain
The mountains have always been about more than just snow — they’re about the people you ride with. That’s exactly what the Carvebunnies community is all about: bringing women together to ride, progress, and support one another on and off the mountain.
Over the past few seasons, Carvebunnies has grown into a vibrant community of skiers and snowboarders who share a love for the mountains and the friendships that come with them. Their trips and meetups focus on creating an inclusive space where women of all backgrounds and skill levels can ride together, build confidence, and connect with others who share the same passion.
Killington Women’s Weekend
One of their biggest initiatives this season is the Carvebunnies Killington Weekend, happening March 13–15 during St. Patrick’s weekend. The trip brings together women riders from across the region for a full weekend of riding, community events, and celebrating the season.
The weekend centers around group rideouts at Killington, one of the largest and most iconic mountains in the East, along with optional rides at nearby resorts like Okemo, Stratton, Sugarbush, and Pico. Participants can expect a packed weekend that includes:
- – Group ride sessions on the mountain
– Pre- and post-ride yoga sessions
– Community gear swaps
– Giveaways for registered participants
– A Saturday après gathering at Killington Distillery
– A Saturday night meetup at the Pickle Barrel
A highlight of the weekend will be a snowboard giveaway, with tickets distributed during Saturday’s après celebration.
While the official group lodging at The Mountain Inn has already sold out, riders can still join the community by securing their own accommodations and participating in all of the planned activities.
What makes the weekend especially meaningful is that Carvebunnies runs the event at cost, absorbing additional expenses to help keep the trip accessible and welcoming for everyone involved.
Women Riding Together
At its core, Carvebunnies is about creating space for women riders to meet, ride, and grow together. Whether it’s someone learning their first turns or a seasoned rider chasing powder, the goal is to build a supportive environment where everyone feels comfortable on the mountain.

Getting There with OvR
For riders coming from New York City, OvRride makes it easy to join the weekend without the hassle of driving or parking. OvR will be running transportation from NYC to Killington, allowing riders to hop on the bus, meet new friends along the way, and arrive ready to ride.
Even if you’re only able to make it for the day, you can still join the community, ride with the crew, and experience the energy of the Carvebunnies weekend.
Denim Dash Pond Skim at Hunter
The Carvebunnies crew will also be joining the fun later in the season at Hunter Mountain’s Denim Dash Pond Skim on March 28 — a classic end-of-season celebration where riders throw on their best denim and attempt to skim across a custom-built pond.
It’s the perfect way to celebrate the season with friends, good vibes, and plenty of laughs.
