Perfect if

  • You want to experience the best snow quality in the world.
  • You love Japanese food, culture, and the “digital detox” of an onsen.
  • You enjoy traveling with a group that feels like a family.

Start your mornings diving into the deepest, un-tracked fields of northern sub-zero powder, and wind down your nights enveloped in the geothermal steam of traditional volcanic hot springs.

This is the hyper-focused northern segment of our legendary Japan trip, designed entirely for the pure powder purist. We are staging an intensive residency in Hokkaido. Over 5 full days of riding, we’ll storm three of the island’s most prized powder strongholds — the legendary, perfectly spaced silver birch glades of Rusutsu, continuous high-velocity lines down the untracked volcanic ridges of Furano, and the massive, interconnected night-lit playground of Niseko. The 11-day experience ends in Tokyo for a transition into city vibes: a perfect mix of cultural and nightlife activities to end the trip, or continue the adventure by joining the full 17-day experience.

You’ll board the flight home with your quads thoroughly worked and your concept of a “powder day” permanently altered — returning with a solid network of international riding partners and the supreme confidence that comes from conquering the absolute peak of global snow quality.

The Resorts
  • Rusutsu: Famous for its perfectly spaced birch trees, zero lift lines, and surreal indoor carousel vibe. When the storm hits, this is the ultimate tree-riding playground.
  • Furano: A classic, authentic peak offering long, continuous vertical drops and incredible side-country terrain that stays untracked long after the snow falls.
  • Niseko: The undisputed capital of Japow. A massive, interconnected playground featuring wide-open bowls, legendary night riding, and a bustling global base village.

FAQ

Can I join solo? Absolutely! We welcome solo travelers, groups, and couples. Most people show up solo and leave with a dozen new friends.

Do I have to share a room? Our base rates are per person based on shared occupancy. Some of our most traditional properties have a specific layout that doesn’t include single rooms, offering a true taste of classic Japanese hospitality. If you have specific requirements, please reach out.

What if I want to room with a specific person? Just let us know your roommate preference in the designated field during the booking process and we’ll try to accommodate.

Do I have to follow the itinerary? We lock in the logistics so you don’t have to. While transfers and check-in/out times are fixed, many activities are optional. This is a multiple-location trip — because we travel between towns and cities as a group, you must follow the group schedule for the main transfers. Once at each destination, you’re free to explore on your own or join the group for shredding and après-ski.

Do I have to bring my own gear? Your call! Bring your own setup or travel light and rent. While we don’t handle rentals directly for this trip, email us at info@ovrride.com for local recommendations.

What if I have a specific question? The best way to reach us is by email — send your questions to info@ovrride.com and we’ll be happy to help.
