Get ready for an Epic trek to the summit of Hunter Mountain! Situated in the heart of the high-peaks Catskills, we’ll take on a variety of scenic mountain trails that showcase dense evergreen forests, historic ruins, and sweeping panoramic views. To mix up the adventure, every trip pairs high-country trekking with Hunter Mountain’s Scenic Skyride! Depending on the date’s specific itinerary, we’ll catch the chairlift for a soaring ride to the top and hike down, trek up and ride the lift back down, or take advantage of the scenic ride both ways to maximize our time exploring the upper ridge trails and fire tower.
Along the way, we’ll pause at an alpine overlook or near the summit for a well-earned lunch break with jaw-dropping vistas of the surrounding Catskill peaks – so be sure to pack a lunch box that’s super easy to enjoy on the trail! Walking along lush evergreen paths, you’ll experience true high-elevation wilderness before soaking in the scenery from the skyride cabin. It’s a dynamic, flexible alpine adventure that combines summit-level views with mountain lift convenience – you definitely won’t want to miss this one!
