If you’re following OvRride or any of our VT partner mountains on Facebook or Twitter, you’ve probably noticed the flood of pics of the East Coast’s first snow on 10/8/12 (on the West Coast, Utah and Colorado have already reported snow last month!)
Over the last 24 hours, Stratton, Killington and Sugarbush have posted pics of the Columbus Day Snow miracle! Late Sunday, Killington even fired up a snow gun to begin testing their snow making system.
The good news keeps getting better!
Temps are forecasted to hit lows in the upper 20’s this week. Low temps this early in October mean that the conditions in 6 weeks for our Thanksgiving trip to Killington will be awesome! The low temps and frost this early in October allows for the more snow-making time before your fist run.
