Craving a break from the city hustle? Join us for a FREE* hiking day-trip to Mohonk Preserve, proudly sponsored by Nike and Paragon Sports and powered by OvRride! Open to all levels, this trip is all about getting outside, hitting scenic ridge trails, and enjoying a day of fun and fitness in nature. Spots are super limited, so grab yours before they’re gone!

  • Trail: The Trapps
  • Distance: 5.5 miles
  • Elevation Gain: 512 ft
  • Difficulty: Easy
  • Highlights: Group hike along across one of the northeast’s premier cliff faces, opportunity to get some goodies from Nike ACG!
  • The Afterparty: Post-Hike Snacks and Brews provided at Paragon after the hike, along with a raffle.

The Trapps at Mohonk Preserve is a thrilling ridge walk that treats you to dizzying, panoramic views of the Wallkill Valley stretching endlessly below. You’ll be hiking past massive, vertical quartz conglomerate cliffs renowned by rock climbers worldwide, soaking in sweeping mountain skylines, dramatic rock formations, and pure, untouched nature. Alternatively, you can also got for the trail run option for an extra kick. It’s the ultimate mix of rugged terrain, endless horizons, and iconic Shawangunk ridge magic!

  • 9:00AM – get picked up at Paragon Sports Union Square
  • 11:00AM – arrival at Mohonk Preserve and get ready to hit the trailhead
  • 11:30AM to 1:30PM – hike or run The Trapps, you choose – you will be accompanied by an experienced guide.
  • 2:00PM – get on the bus back to Paragon Sports at Union Square
  • 4:00PM – afterparty at the store, enjoy some drinks, food and special giveaways

*FREE DETAILS: The best part is that this hike is completely free. We do require a credit card to hold your spot, but you won’t be charged as long as you show up. We want to make sure the outdoors stays accessible to everyone, so there are no excuses to stay home. It’s a full day of exploration, great views, and even better company, all without breaking the bank.
