From the NYC Premiere to the World Premiere – Faction Is Launching the Free Stream of their EPIC new Shred flick Tue 12/5, NOON EST!
Once again, the NYC Snow Community was repping hard at another evening of snow inspired cinema, high fives and positive vibes! HUGE Thanks to everyone who came out to join our friends from Faction Skis when THIS IS HOME premiered in Brooklyn, Tue 11/28. You know we love that reaction when the industry pros and brands roll into town, thoroughly astonished at how passionate area snow enthusiasts truly are. To all the urban shred life faithful – THIS IS HOME!
As per usual, everyone who came out to fan the stoke brought their A-game and the energy at The William Vale Ballroom could not have been better! You know anytime NYC hosts an evening of snow inspired cinema, OvR will be on hand! Additional thanks to everyone who came by to chat up their winter plans and talk about all the awesome things to come. As we prep the OvR Snow Bus for another East Coast winter, along with all the awesome excursions planned out west, in Europe, Japan and South America, nothing gets us going more than Snowspiration!
In production for the past year, THIS IS HOME chronicles what makes a skier, tells personal stories about the environment that creates and the conditions that helped shape athletes including Candide Thovex, the world’s most famous and acclaimed freeskier, big mountain prodigy Johnny Collinson, 15-year old phenomenon Kelly Sildaru, and freeskiing icon Adam Delorme.
Filmed and produced by the team that delivered the award-winning “We Are The Faction Collective” webisodes, the Faction production team has been on a year-long mission, from the icy streets of Finland to chasing powder in Montana and exploring steep lines in Zermatt, and to visiting Thovex’s playground of La Clusaz and a rally session in Verbier.

Friend to the program, Johnny Collinson was back in town to talk about the project and chat on some of the highlights while filming. Afterwards, Johnny and the Faction crew helped take that energy out of the theater and into the streets of Brooklyn with the OvR Crew to take on the town. Nothing gets us more psyched than appreciating the inspiring athletes and reps that make it happen, than joining them for good times in NYC, like you know we know how. From those epic lines on the screen to some of our favorite lines around the Williamsburg bars – THIS IS HOME!

After talking to the athletes on our team last year, we wanted to get to the core how these totally diverse people from different places all converged and seem to share a bond.
