Happy first day of Spring!
Beautiful bluebird days, goggle tans and soft snow… that’s what spring riding is all about. It’s not quit time to put those boards and skies away yet… here’s some noteworthy events to get geared up for!
Hunter Mountain Hell Track
2nd Annual Hell Track event at Hunter Mountain will be this Sunday 3/25. The event is a celebration of spring and sun and the main component is Hell Track event. The friendly contest will be on a constructed track which is best described as a Boardercross/slalom hybrid
- Registration: 10-11am at the Park Yurt
- Start: noon until it’s over
- Trophies for 1st-3rd place
- Donation: $10
Donations will benefits one of our favorite foundations, Hoods to the Woods. OvR has been helping transport the Hoods to the Woods kids out to Poconos… this donation will help them keep up the great work while having fun at a great event!
Stratton US Freestyle Ski Team Ariel Comp
The events on Staurday 3/25 will be the arial comp featuring the US Freestyle Ski team. Nothing compares to watching these superstars flipping over YOUR own head! With special events and live music both on and off the hill, you’ll want to be a part of this event!
Mount Snow Reggae Fest
Festivities start at 11am on Snow Sunday 3/25... And so does the beer! The Reggae Music festival features an outdoor BBQ and beer garden (weather permitting) and on Sunday the Duct Tape Derby! What’s that you ask? Well, use your imagination: Snowboard/skiis + slushy snow + duct tape = ???
SugarBush Pond Skim
This weekend we’ll be at “The Bush” The annual Spring feastival at sugarbush features the pond skim on Sunday 3/25 at the base of Lincoln peak. Awards are given based on the most creative skim as well as the best costume. Go to the event page for registration details.
OvR will be running buses until the last of the snow melts and the mountains call it quits. It’s the End of Days and we need to send off the season the right way!
